The Quest Athletics and Recreation Department is offering a competitive trail running team and feeder club to Quest students. This program will be centered around a 10-athlete competitive trail team (TT) who will focus on competing in trail, mountain, or cross country events occurring in the September to November and April to June seasons. These athletes will be fully supported by the University and the coaching staff. The Trail Running Club (TRC) will serve as a feeder club allowing greater participation by Quest students.

Spring Season: April-June



Sept 10 – Sky Pilot 10k, 25k, Squamish
Sept 23 – Whistler Alpine Meadows
Sept 30 – 5 Peaks Buntzen Lake
Oct 28 – Hallows Eve Trail 10k, Half, Marathon, North Van OR BC XC Championships, Abbotsford
Nov 18 – The Phantom Run 12k, 19k, 24k, North Van

Spring: TBD

Athletes Season Commitments:

  • Follow training plan during race and off-season
  • Record training throughout season
  • Attend two races per season to compete
  • 8hrs Volunteer Trail Work
  • Volunteer at one race

Coaching Commitments:

  • Coach provides general off-season training/conditioning plan
  • TT and TRC athletes provided with on-season, specific training plan
  • Coach reviews TT athletes training records (using Training Peaks Software)
  • One coach-led practice per week during season (mandatory for TT athletes, optional for TRC)
  • Two full-day adventures in Sea-to-Sky Corridor led by coach (open to TT athletes and possible spaces for TRC athletes)
  • Full coaching support at two races per season
