February 28, 2013 – Men’s Basketball Provincials

Victoria, BC – The Quest Kermodes men’s basketball team made school history by winning their first playoff game against the host Camosun Chargers, 53-50.  The win is the first for the athletics program in elimination games at provincials.  Cartiea French-Toney was named player of the game.

The Kermodes will now face VIU at 3pm on Friday for a shot at the final.  For more info, check the PACWEST Provincials website and follow on Twitter.

Squamish, BC - Following a successful tournament as 2012 PACWEST provincial soccer hosts, Quest Athletics have upped their game once again.  We are proud to announce that the "Kermode Kave" and the entire Quest community will host the CCAA men’s basketball national championships in 2014.  Taking place from March 12-15th of that year, the top provincial winners from across Canada will compete for the national title, including the Quest men.

As with the soccer tournament, we are looking forward to integrating the entire community of Squamish and invite everyone to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion.

International Games No Holiday PDF Print E-mail

December 28-31, 2012 - Men's Basketball

Costa Mesa, CA – Three Kermodes in double figures could not hold the Vanguard Lions as the Quest men’s basketball team dropped their opener in the Bill Reynolds Holiday Classic, 82-55.  Michael Zayas-Duran led the way for the lone Canadian team with 13 points, followed by fellow starters Michael Powell and Jose Colorado with 12 and 11 respectively.

The Kermodes faced a tougher opponent in Warner Pacific College on Saturday, December 29th, losing 91-47.

The final game of the California trip featured Hope International, currently 14-1 in all competitions.  The Kermodes lost their final game of the 2012 calendar year on New Year's Eve, 87-40.

The Quest men now return to BC as PACWEST play begins again in Squamish on January 4th
