Squamish, BC - The Quest Men were pumped and ready for their home opener Saturday in front of a raucous crowd at Quest Field. Facing the Nationally Ranked UNBC Timberwolves, the Quest men were quickly put to the test. A tight contest often played in the midfield area was broken open when a Timberwolf player was set free on a long ball thus giving the visitors a 1-0 lead at half. Undaunted the Kermodes battled back in the second half quickly equalizing off Alex Morgan's right foot. The upstarts from Quest then took much of the play at their nationally ranked visitors before a counter attack late in the half caught them sending the T-wolves off with a 2-1 victory. The Kermodes now sit at 0-1-1 in PacWest Group A, 6 points off the Group leaders from Prince George. Kermodes next action will be this weekend when they travel to Kwantlen Saturday and Douglas College on Sunday. |
