Kermodes 63 Timberwolves 77 PDF Print E-mail

Prince George, BC - A raucous crowd greeted the visiting Kermodes on Senior night at the Northern Sports Centre.  The pounding of the drums and the screams of the crowd was matched by the furry on the floor as both teams sprinted out of the gate.  Five lead changes and seven ties highlighted the first 20 minutes as first year player Katrin Sandbichler lead the Kermodes with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals in just over 15 minutes of action before her right knee twisted and she was lost to the visitors for the remainder of the contest.

The number 3 ranked UNBC TImberwolves (11-0) on the season were able to take advantage of the Kermodes mistakes in the second half stretching their lead to 14 points before the final buzzer allowing them to take the contest 77-63.

Defense Keys Victory PDF Print E-mail

Vancouver, BC  -  A strong defensive effort right out of the gate helped push the Kermodes advantage to 15-5 after the first quarter.  Open shots howver refused to fall for the Kermodes as they struggled to score but still managed to hang on for the 48-39 victory.

Kermodes 76 Eagles 55 PDF Print E-mail

Surrey, BC  -  Delainee Behrns came out on fire, scoring from inside and out as the Kermodes opened an 18-12 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 37-27 at half.  The Kwantlen Polytechnic Eagles pushed back on the Kermodes lead by the tenetious play of guard Anna Work as she scored 6 of her nine in the quarter to close the gap.

The fourth quarter opened with the score set at 51-44 and by 8:24 of the quarter the Eagles had closed within 5.  A Kermodes timeout was quickly followed by a Katrin Sandbichler layin and a Maja Smilijic three which sparked a 21-5 run by the Kermodes to put the game out of reach.

Capilano 72 Quest 65 In PACWEST Play PDF Print E-mail

Squamish, BC - The Quest Kermodes entertained Sea-to-Sky rivals the Capilano University Blues on Thursday at the Kave.  It was a defensive struggle in the first quarter as both teams did a good job slowing down the other teams running game and countering their offensive sets. After one quarter of play the Kermodes managed to hold a slim 12-10 lead.  The 2nd Quarter saw a little more offense as both teams found someone with a hot hand.  In the Kermodes case that was 2nd Year Guard Maja Smilijic as she broke out for three 3's during the quarter to keep the Kermodes in front 29-28.

Kermodes Clip Chargers PDF Print E-mail

Victoria, BC - It took a few minutes but the Kermodes were able to bounce back from late night disappointment and as the final minutes ticked away in the first quarter were able to break open a tight contest on their way to a 31-22 halftime lead against a very good Camosun Chargers team.  The second half saw both teams exchange runs as the Kermodes clawed there way to a 68-57 road victory.
