Women’s soccer team played through a rough weekend, but gained one point in games versus Capilano University and Langara College.

On Saturday, the women challenged North Vancouver’s Capilano University Blues. Despite their drive, neither team could beat the goalkeepers after 180 minutes of playing time, and ended the game in a 0-0 draw.

Kermodes’ keeper Jessica Wager (New Westminster/New Westminster B.C.) made a series of outstanding saves, keeping the Kermodes in the game until the end.

On Sunday, Quest went up against Langara College, and ended the game in a 3-0 loss against the 2008 CCAA National Champions. Although the women fought hard on the field, there just wasn’t enough offense to make anything happen.

The women are preparing for another challenge this upcoming weekend, when they will take on Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Douglas College away from home. Last weekend Kwantlen beat Douglas College 4-1, and currently sits 4^th in their pool with 6 points, while Douglas is in 5^th place with 3 points.
