Vancouver, BC. – The Quest women’s soccer team met their match this weekend after playing two close games away from home. The Kermodes ended Saturday’s game in a 1-0 loss against Kwantlen, who scored in the last 20 minutes of the game. Defender Lindsay Epp (Yale/Abbotsford B.C.) played a phenomenal game leading the back line, along with center midfield Ami Massey (Langley/Langley B.C.), who showed determination on the ball. Sunday’s game against Douglas College ended similarly, with the Quest women losing 1-0 after a goal in the second half. The women are preparing for their final away game next weekend in Nanaimo against the VIU Mariners. VIU beat the Kermodes 2-1 in a close game during the first week of the season, and are currently sitting second in their pool with 15 points. |
